The values of the cool rate are always negative in my reports and therefore the results always fail. |

This is a known software bug in printing results in version 1.0. The results on screen are calculated correctly! |

After synchronizing the first time my synchronisation history is not updated on the website. |
| A: |
If the DRIFTCON software does not detect a measurement.gdb and/or a value.gdb database file, it does not attempt to upload these files to the website. If neither file is present, no uploads will be done and therefore the synchronisation history is not updated. These particular database files are not present after installation, but are generated after your first completed measurement. |

The software shows the message “HTTP_STATUS_OK is not OK!! (407)”. What am I doing wrong? |
| A: |
Your network uses a proxy server for connecting to the internet. You can solve your problem by enabling the “HTTP1.1 using a proxy connection” option in your advanced internet explorer settings. For more information on how to do this, please contact your network administrator. |

The software shows the message “HTTP_STATUS_OK is not OK!! (404)”. What am I doing wrong? |

This message is shown whenever there are no specifications available for the customerID used on your system. If you received an email that your specifications should be available, you can verify the customerID on your system. Otherwise please wait for the email to be received; preparing the specifications is still in process. |

The software crashes when pressing the start button. What can I do about it? |
| A: |
Users with a USB Serial adapter have to make sure that the adapter is working properly! When using the adapter for the first time and having just installed the drivers, a reboot could help you out. If you`re still experiencing problems anyway, please contact CYCLERtest BV. |

I am not able to synchronize new or updated specifications. How can I solve this? |
| A: |
First make sure your internet connection is working properly by browsing to www.driftcon.com. Second make sure (new) specifications are prepared for you (did you receive an email from the DRIFTCON Website?). Finally you can check whether your browser downloads files from it`s cache memory, the following way :
- Right click on the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop and click on properties
- Select the `General` tab
- Click on the `Settings...` button of the `Temporary Internet files`
- The option `Automatic` or `Every visit to page` has to be selected of which the latter is preferrable

DRIFTCON Operations Manual does not open in Windows 2000? |
| A: |
In Windows 2000 the .pdf file type is registered. The solution for the problem is installing the supplied version of Acrobat Reader on the DRIFTCON software CD-ROM. |

The layout for my 48v-12 does not match. What is wrong? |
| A: |
This is a known bug in Driftcon v1.0. The layout will be fixed in the next version! |

My acquisitions fail saying “Step not found (ramping time exceeded)”. What am I doing wrong? |
| A: |
This message means that the Driftcon software is looking for a protocol step it can not find! This can have one of the following reasons :
- The wrong or no protocol is started on the selected instrument.
- Custom specifications are active.
For instance if the average value for 70°C step is specified at 100°C, Driftcon will keep looking for an average value of 100°C and will probably never find it! The values Driftcon is looking for can be read during acquisition by pressing 2.
- The selected instrument has severe ramping problems |
